This Weeks Champions League Action

For all you football loving fans you are probably aware of the present situation in this 2008/09 seasons champions league, for those of you who aren’t the champions league has reached it’s climax and for the first time fierce rivals, Manchester united and Arsenal face each other,  the other two teams are FC Barcelona and Chelsea.

The first leg saw Chelsea pull off a superb defensive display and this earned them a priceless 0-0 draw at the Nou Camp. In the other match, Arsenal succumb to a 1-0 loss, poor marking from the Arsenal defence left O’shea free with the goal at his mercy and with his scoring rate of 9 goals from ten shots he finished sublimely. The second leg of Arsenal v Man Utd is at the Emirates,  Gael Clichy has been ruled while Robin Van Persie is a 50-50 to start but should be  expected back in the squad too boost their chances of a place in the Champions League final. Chelsea face a Barcelona side that just destroyed Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in a remarkable game in which barcelona scored SIX times(Eto’o, Messi, Puyol and Pique all found the net), Madrid could only manage 2 goals and surely this puts Barcelona in the driving seat for the La liga and in a perfect mood to face ‘The Blues’ at the Stamford Bridge.
